If you would like your mac updated to the latest version of iLife (09), bring it into the IT people and ask them nicely to install the updates to the machine.

Music Concrete

To have a look at our next area of study go here and see what you can learn.
We will be creating some music using sounds from the environment around us. Think about capturing some sounds at home if you get the chance (use the mobile phone if you like for this).

Year 11 - ELECTRONIC BLAH BLAH BLAH....
HI,
If you found the lesson on Monday confusing, don't stress as it was pretty full on. It is meant to be an introduction to what sound is and what we are doing when we manipulate the sounds we can create and record.
Next lesson we will be going on with some sampling of sounds and using them as instruments for another short composition in garage band.
Get to know Garage band well, check out the eHOW vids as well as the apple vids on how to use it (you can watch these from home on your PC)
If you want to compose with a PC, download MIXCRAFT, it looks and feels a lot like garage band and might help you get used to the idea of using software to create music with.
